Veteran Discount Guide: Content Provider & Consumer Eligibility
Requirements for Content Provider Eligibility
For our purposes, the terms “Active Duty” and “Veteran” apply to all six branches of the United States Military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force.
The following content and providers are within our suitability guidelines:
- Businesses or Organizations advertising they provide a Discount to active duty and/or veterans
- Businesses or Organizations advertising that they provide Services for active duty and/or veterans
- Businesses or Organizations advertising that they provide Programs designed for and/or benefitting active duty and/or veterans
- Promotion of Events designed for and/or benefitting active duty and/or veterans
- Businesses that are Veteran-Owned, either wholly or partially (dishonorably discharged veteran-owned businesses are ineligible). Veteran-Owned businesses will have a special designation in the guide.
- Businesses or Individuals which provide a monetary donation and promotion within their half, full or 2-page ad for a Veteran-focused 501C3 charity through our Helping Heroes Program. Contact us for details at info@veterandiscountguide.com
Eligible content providers
Those who qualify as eligible content providers and who advertise eligible content will be allowed to advertise other services and discounts or events that are not necessarily military related, for example, a retail shop can advertise their military discount as well as a first responder discount, or a lender can advertise that they provide VA loans as well as Reverse Mortgage loans.
Requirements for Consumer Eligibility
Advertisers and content providers are solely responsible for vetting customers’ military status and assume all risk in evaluating and determining whether or not to provide said advertised discount or service to any particular consumer. VDG assumes no responsibility in determining the consumers’ allowable participation in any advertised discount or benefit.
